Julio Cesar Marques has always liked a little adrenaline. Before bull riding took over, the Tatuí, Brazil, native’s first love was skateboarding. That appetite for action never really left — it just found a different outlet. These days, Marques is better known as one of the sport’s big-flying Brazilians, especially after a qualified ride when his signature celebration can include a backflip off the fence, the shark cage or even the back of a pickup horse.

Marques’ rise happened quickly. The Kansas City Outlaws drafted him in 2023 before he had even made his PBR debut, betting on a young rider whose talent had already caught their attention. His first Teams season was a learning experience, but by 2024 he had begun turning that potential into results. Marques finished his rookie Unleash The Beast season No. 18 in the world, qualified for his first PBR World Finals and established himself as one of the more promising young Brazilian riders on tour.

He also became an important piece of Kansas City’s 2024 run. Marques went 7-for-17 during the regular season as the Outlaws overtook Carolina on the final day to claim the regular-season championship with a 19-9 record. Kansas City eventually finished third at the PBR Teams Championship, giving Marques another taste of what it takes to contend deep into the postseason.

Marques kept climbing individually, too. After finishing No. 18 in the world as a rookie in 2024, he improved to No. 13 in the 2026 Unleash The Beast standings, covering 21 of 52 bulls and earning more than $109,000. That progression has helped establish him as more than just an exciting young rider — he has become a legitimate presence among the world’s best.

His Teams path has also taken him through several locker rooms, including stops with the New York Mavericks and Texas Rattlers, before landing with the Missouri Thunder. In 2026, Marques has become a key piece of Missouri’s lineup, bringing dependable scoring potential and the kind of energy that fits naturally with a team looking to make noise.

Away from the dirt, Marques keeps things relatively simple. He stays in shape with cardio three to four times a week, enjoys camping and says that if bull riding had not become his career, he would still want to chase another sport with plenty of adrenaline. He follows PBR and the NFL, prefers a truck to drive down the road and keeps gospel and country music in the rotation.

His faith is central to who he is, with Marques listing God as the person he looks up to most. When it comes to food, Brazilian staples win every time — rice, beans and steak are hard to beat.

For all the movement in his young career, Marques has already built a recognizable identity. He is explosive in the arena, fearless after the whistle and rarely content with simply climbing down after a ride.
